Two for one special! [Dark & Yugi]

[With an arcade room in the Campus now, there's no way Yugi wouldn't be there. He's a little late, maybe, but he's definitely set up shop there for today, occasionally moving from game to game once he's finished playing the one he was at before.

Of course, being Yugi, there's no way he'd keep this all to himself, which means he and his other self are swapping control every so often, making finding either of them just a matter of waiting... or coming into the arcade at the right time.]

((OOC: Since I didn't want to make two posts but wanted to play them both, here's a choice for you! You can either specify which of the Yugis you want to meet (the normal one or his "other personality," Dark), or you can just leave it up to me to pick! Just remember that Dark... doesn't take kindly to people who try to actually hurt Yugi, or himself.))

Yeah! He's the one that I remember, though, so I don't think he'll remember you. But that's okay! I'm sure we'll still all be friends.

I see... [It's a little sad, not being remembered, but he'll be happy for Yugi, anyway. After all, he has a lot to be thankful for in this place. It's time Yugi had some good fortune.]

Yeah! It's really good! I missed Jounouchi-kun a lot, so it's really great having him back!

Especially because it means Ryou-kun can have another friend, too!

Yugi-kun... [His gaze softens at that. Yugi really is a kind person...]

[It's Yugi; did Ryou expect any less? It's almost like he's had every wish he ever made granted, with how excited and cheerful he seems to be right now.]

[It's good, seeing him like this. It makes him feel more at ease. Like all's right in the world.]

Does Jounouchi-kun know... about 'him', though?

[Ah...]

The "other me," you mean?

...I was actually more concerned about the other me... but that's a good question too.

I haven't said anything about of either of them yet. I'm going to tell him about the other me, but... Do you want me to tell him about the other you, too?

I don't know. It... can't really be hidden unless 'he' agrees to leave Jounouchi alone and stay out of sight. But Jounouchi-kun... might not be happy to know about that.

He doesn't like... spirits.

I know.

But I think it'll be okay! Jounouchi-kun's a good person, and I know we'll all be friends, so...

[His fingers tremble on the joystick.]

...I... hope so.

[Please... It's bad enough being forgotten, but please let them all be able to be friends again...]

I really, really hope so!

[He notices that trembling, so when he speaks again, it's with a surprising amount of strength.]

We will! I'm sure of it, no matter what!

And I'm always going to be your friend, Ryou-kun! Remember? I promised!

Yugi-kun...

[The trembling eases and he relaxes a little. That was right... Yugi was Yugi, even now. He could trust him.]

Un, I remember! It really makes me happy...

If you think it'll be alright, then... let him know. I'd rather he was warned.

I will. And I'll make sure he knows how important a friend Ryou-kun is, too! So don't worry, okay?

I'm not... really that strong or brave, but this is something I can do!

You're wrong, Yugi-kun...

You're one of the bravest and strongest people I know. And I definitely won't worry.

Ah, really?

[Great, Ryou, now he seems embarrassed.]

But I can't really do anything like Jounouchi-kun can... or you.

Jounouchi-kun is strong. But Yugi-kun is strong too. Maybe not physically... but you're strong inside. Maybe stronger in the time I know you... but strong here too.

I... really admire you.

[Oh geeze stop it, he's not used to this. Yugi scratches his cheek, clearly flattered but now far more embarrassed.]

Ryou-kun is strong, too! I mean... you deal with that other you all the time, and you're still Ryou-kun! You're still nice and friendly, and you're still my important friend.

So you're not weak either.

Sankyuu~. [Now he's the embarrassed one. Rubbing the back of his head, he looks away.]

It's kind of hard to think of myself as anything else but weak, but I've been trying really hard to get stronger lately.

Well... let's both promise to not think of ourselves like that, okay? You say I'm strong, and I think you're strong... so even if we're not as strong as someone else, we're not weak!

Un! I agree!

No matter how much you dress it up, a vessel is still just a vessel.

[The cold tones slip out easily as the spirit settles into control.]

Both you and he are on the bottom of the rung of power. Rather than comforting yourself with lies, you should focus on getting stronger. The weak are always tools of the strong.

[Bakura! Yugi jumps, then frowns -- about as close to a scowl as he can get -- and doesn't budge.]

You're wrong! Ryou-kun is really strong, and a lot stronger than you! You're more powerful than us, but that's something different. It's not a lie at all... it's true! And I won't back down because of you!
