[ If you're walking around the West Wing, you might hear some new footsteps; at least, if you're adept at that kind of thing. If not, it might be that ricocheting bullet bouncing off the walls and ceiling; narrowly missing your head.
Oh yes, we've got a skilled marksmen in the Campus now, and he goes by the name Revolver Ocelot. He waltzes into view, a smile upon his lips as he twirls the Colt Single Action Army around in his hand, doing all kinds of fancy tricks with it...
Finally, he replaces it back in its holster and spreads his arms. ]
Well now, I've never seen you before.

I... I DON'T KNOW... THIS IS SO SUDDEN...I--
It truly is a masterpiece of a weapon... A real work of art. [ Well now, a woman willfully walking towards him. This was new. ] And yours is a .45, I see. Looks like a custom job, if that grip is any indication.
you could be Revolver Bobcat!
[She watches the gun with wide eyes, trying to commit ever aspect of it to her mind. Then her stance relaxes as she size up this strange man. He wanted to use his guns, yes, but he didn't have a particular deathwish for any of them. He seemed to merely be interested in terrifying whoever stumbled into his range.]
I'm told I should thank his ancestors for coming up with such a beauty.
Now she's talking about the smaller pistol in her hands, aimed at Ocelot.]</small
FOR GOD'S SAKE MAN STOP PLAYING WITH YOUR GUN IN THE MEETING
Sounds like a nice gift... Old and still deadly. [ he begins to twirl the colt around again before stopping quickly, aiming it at her casually. ]
Revolver Ocelot. What do they call you?
no subject
Sibyll.
no subject
[ He repeats the name, getting a feel for it on his tongue. No code-names here, boys. Though, she could have been lying, but it didn't really matter. ]
Not very exciting, but I suppose if that's your name, then I can't argue otherwise. [ Aaand he's back to spinning the revolver around, even turning away from her. ] And how long have you been in this place, Sibyll?
no subject
[Doc Mitchell had saved her life. This 'Ocelot' had done nothing besides point a gun at her. One of these men had earned enough respect to say something like that to her without comment.
The second comment gave her pause.]
Since late summer. This place doesn't like to let go once it has its claws in you. Hope you weren't doing anything important when you were grabbed.

As frustrating as it is, I suppose I have no choice but to bide my time. If what you say is true, then I won't be going back to my station any time soon. [ Annoying. ] So my little gunfight with Solid Snake will have to wait.
Now then... What to do with my time here.
no subject
Gunfight? You were taken right in the middle of a gunfight?
[Now she had even more questions for Snake. So many more questions.]
no subject
Quite a good fight, too. That man is extremely skilled... Just like his brother, I'd say. It would be intriguing to watch them fight.
no subject
[The Campus was plenty confusing enough that Sibyll did not need to stretch herself playing up her bewilderment.]
no subject
I wouldn't waste my time shooting snakes, woman. That man's codename... Solid Snake. He's a formidable man, really the best there is, aside from the Boss. He'd already killed about a dozen of our men and hadn't a shred of remorse on his face.
No, I daresay he enjoyed it.
no subject
You don't seem to be much different. I mean, you nearly shot me in the head without a second thought.
no subject
Being interrupted like that is aggravating, but I'll cope. [ He looks at her .45. ] Now, maybe you'd like to replace him, hmm? You any good with that .45? [ He's mostly joking, but there was always a hint of honesty. ]
no subject
I'm a fair shot with it. But I don't think the fight would last long. I saw how you bounced that bullet and nearly took my head off. I can't imagine that'd be your only trick.
no subject
You know when you're outmatched, I see. Too bad... I hoped I'd get found another good fight... Wishful thinking on my end.
no subject
Sorry to disappoint. In my world, you use a gun to protect yourself against all those mutated critters that have since spawned after the Great War. So far I've yet to see an over-sized gecko bounce a bullet.
no subject
Really nice gun just used for protecting... You don't really care much for it, then? [ If it was just used for that, then why customize it? ]
Now, what Great War is this?
no subject
But let's see if I can guess... [Slowly, she saunters over to Ocelot, glancing him up and down.] You're dressed... actually you look like a cowboy. But not quite. I'd almost guess you were from my time, but your clothes are too new and you don't know about the Great War.
[She backs away with a shrug.]
200 years ago in my time, someone decided it would be a great idea to launch all their nukes and the world ended. That's the Great War. Lasted less then a day.
no subject
So, actual Nuclear Holocaust, hmm? Interesting. Ever hear about the point of origin? [ Was it Shadow Moses? Whether or not Liquid actually launched the nukes wasn't something he actually cared about, but it would have been fun. ]
Where the nukes were launched from?
no subject
Nope. Anyone who might have is probably long dead. Hell, the Enclave, the Pre-War US Government, doesn't even really exist anymore. Sometimes I'll find old stuff about the war, newspaper articles and the like, so maybe it was the Chinese? But I don't really know. All that matters to me is that Vegas was spared. It's an absolute paradise compared to somewhere like DC.
no subject
Vegas? Now that's irony right there... You'd think it'd be the first to go, all that greed, all that deceit... But really, it's only fitting that somewhere like Vegas survives. [ He grins. ] The people there live honestly... They don't mask any part of their true selves. They are cowards, greedy bastards... A true no-holds-barred existence.
Now if only the rest of the world followed suit.
no subject
You've never been to Vegas, have you? Just heard the stories? Still, you remind me of someone. You two would get along quite well, too, 'cept he wants to remake Vegas into something... better.
no subject
[ Aaaand spinning the revolver around once more. ]
Unfortunately, it's not really my kind of place. Gambling is much more fun when your life is on the line. I don't care about money.
no subject
[She's still smiling, but there's an edge to it when the gun starts spinning again. She is clearly not a fan of his tricks.]
Nice tricks, but I think I'm suitably impressed for now. Why don't you put that away for later? Leave me wanting more and all.
no subject
Dishonest? No, you misunderstand me... If I recall, I said that Las Vegas lives honestly... It is possible to be both a coward and honest...
They do not disguise their greed, their lust, their need for power, for wealth. They are the kind of people that lead to unpredictable situations... The entire world would be far more interested if it were populated by such individuals, don't you think?
[ Still twirling the revolver, mhm. ]
